Alex Torres - President

Alex is one of the most respected event producer in Central Florida.

 

With over 20 years experience producing festivals, concerts, fairs and corporate events in Puerto Rico and Central Florida.

 

 

 

His experience includes working with some of the top and most prestigious companies in the world including: The Procter and Gamble Company, Nabisco Biscuit Company, Clear Channel Communications and Univision Spanish Television. His background experience includes: sales, promotions, marketing and events.

 

 

  • Co-founded with his brother "Paneto's Catering & Events", one of Puerto Rico's top catering and events businesses. His biggest challenge was producing a Walgreens Corporate family day for 5,500 employees and family members that included breakfast, lunch, games, artists, pony ride, inflatable games among other things.
  • Presented "Que Vacilon, El Musical" a comedy-musical at the Pachin Vicents Coliseum (Ponce, Puerto Rico) with comedian Raymond Arrieta, establishing an attendance record for a one-night show with more than 7,500 people.
  • Wrote the Children's play "My listo para los extraños" (Too smart for strangers) a musical that was approved by Puerto Rico's Educational System to be presented during the school year.
  • Produced the play "Los Picapiedras, Se Compra Piedradura" (The Flintstone) presented at Puerto Rico's prestigious Teatro La Perla.
  • Produced shows and events with artists such as Grammy award winner Gilberto Santarosa, Cheo Feliciano, Ismael Miranda, Yomo Toro, Frankie Ruiz, Eddie Santiago, Millie Quezada, Patrulla 15, Tommy Olivencia and many others.

   

Since arriving to Orlando, Florida

Worked with Nabisco Biscuit Company as Diversity Marketing Manager for 6 years where he handle promotions, events and brand growth.

  • Worked on Clear Channel's "WXXL-FM 106.7 Spring Concert" which included artists Nelly Furtado and multiple Grammy and Billboard Award winner "Destiny's Child". 
  • In 2002 was worked on Univision's "Puerto Rican Day Parade Festival" which attracted close to 30,000 people.
  • In 2002 co-founded the non-profit organization "Mi Tierra y Cultura", which offers scholarships for kids interested in learning to play Puerto Rico's national instrument the "Cuatro", similar to a small guitar.
  • Created festival "Navidad Jibara En Orlando", a Puerto Rican folkloric festival that celebrates the Puerto Rican heritage and culture. The festival has become Central Florida's largest Hispanic Christmas celebration with thousands of people attending every year!
  • In 2003 was contracted by Puerto Rico's prestigious University Ana G. Mendez to produce and manage their grand opening ceremony and festivities for their Orlando campus.
  • Was contracted by The Puerto Rican Chamber of Commerce of Breward County in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida for their Festival "Fiestas Patronales and Business to Business Expo".
  • Created and is produced of the Spanish radio talk show "Entre Amigos" on Fantastica 1440AM, hosted by Puerto Rican famed actress and singer Sharon Riley. 
  • Has been contracted by the University Ana G. Mendez to produce their first anniversary celebration.
  • Created the "Fiesta Boricua" a festival celebrating the Discovery of Puerto Rico.
  • His company Alex Torres Productions has been contracted by such companies as Presidente Beer, Telemundo, Jugos Jarritos among others to worked their Central Florida promotions.
